Calor and its transport

There is a pic of G680AAN on here, one of a batch of a large number purchased, it is quite a momentous occasion when a small haulier purchases a new vehicle, and generally it’s individuality and history is well known by all who work with them, complete with many photos, whereas vehicles purchased by large companies are just tools and unless they are lemons very little sentiment or memory is attached to them.

Greetings,All.
Found this old photo in the archives. It used to run down to load at Southampton on nights,to be delivered in the day.Regards,900x20.

Another transport company that belonged to Calor was Ektra transport from Rotterdam they collected new gas tank trailers from Holland or Belgium and run to the U.K.Also collecting a gp tank from Wooburn green running to ICI slough to load and then delivering into eastern europe.

Good God!! What a find! ‘Gravydavey’, you are the hero of the week. I’ve just written a book about these - comes out next month - and I didn’t know about this one at all. It’s an ERF NGC ‘European’ and it appears that only about 70 were made. If you go on the ‘ERF European 1975 thread’ you’ll find out lots about these! If you don’t mind, I’ll re-post your picture on that thread now. Cheers! Robert  :open_mouth:

PS Any more Calor pics showing this kind of ERF?
