still in single figure trips outside blighty!! going to bosnia next week! what channels are used mostly by the brits/calling channels? do people still stay on the uk channels or go onto the eu channels ? give me a clue as to uk or eu and best channels !! cheers elvis
I tended to use the English Channel, and occasionally the North Sea.

Actually i’d like to know the answer to this question (cos gonna be doing euro again soon) when i used to do it %$£* years ago we just used uk 19
It’s no good asking Niel (coffeejunky ) cos he could never afford one, or was it the noone would talk to him, either way he never had one
I always used to use 19 abroad, so do most of the other British drivers i know who run abroad.

That’s where you are wrong, I had one many years ago, and it is sitting on a shelf in my garage at the moment. I gave up on it as I don’t like to be sociable.

I think that the majority of Brit drivers stay on 19 where ever they are. That will be 19 on the UK frequencies or the CEPT frequencies.
Quite some time ago I read a post with the calling channels used by the different European countries, but I can’t find the post now.
Going by memory, I think that in Italy its channel 5.
I can’t remember any others.
