doing my class 1 next week and looking for a bit of part-time with them,for experience. my uncle (frank fleming ) worked for them for years before he passed away last year.
will do drivers mate, class2 just to learn the ropes
Phone Jimmy he is approachable, but there is a list a mile long to get in, tell him about your uncle
and if you get nowhere ring jimmy cambell (jnr) at west of scotland, and still mention your uncle 
its still not what u know, its who u know!!!

I’ve heard Jimmy Macauley called a few things, approachable was’nt one of them .

think your setting your sight a bit high . specialised highly professional,
u aint that lucky are u ,tell us but i used to meet a crew regular the second man was a bit odd he used to sleep on top of the load ,when i first said it to the driver i knew ,his reply was HE ALWAYS DOES that ,he was a good 30 ft up , (must be the hours they do)
