Hi lookin 4 c1 training in north east or yorkshire area and approx cost and timescale of training
There is Tockwith that many people go with or i went with L + T Transpory training services down at Fitzwilliam Near Pontefract.
I cant fault them on anything.
took me 3 days to pass my test but think they average on 4 days but go down for an assesment and then go from there.
I would say good prices aswell but if your stuck for places to go for training there is an approved trainer list on the forums which are good aswell.

B+E is usually much cheaper than LGV C1 or C especially when you include all the medical and theory costs
If you can find a trainer who uses a 5 tonne van for C1 then that might be a little cheaper than if they use a 7.5 tonner but that means you will not get the experience of a 7.5
Remember that you will need Mod 2 and Mod 4 if you are aged 18, 19 or 20 even for private use.
If there is the slightest chance that you may want CAT C at some point in the future, the best advice has to be to go for CAT C straight away.
But if you want to stick at C1, then to use a trainer with a Daily/Sprinter type vehicle makes perfect sense.
It’s well worth ringing round for prices for C1 - you will find quite a big variation.
All the best, Pete

Not correct Peter
Those aged 18 to 21 need the initial for anything over 7.5
7.5 has always been aged 18 and that did not change
thanks peter

I doubt any trainer could tell you that without an assessment first

Might be a good idea to give him some cost comparison to do cat c , so he can make an informed decision to doing c or c1
