C.P.C. Advice please. So confused

I would be very thankful if anyone can clarify this situation for me. I passed my test(cat c) two weeks ago. I know that I have to do my 35 hours periodic drivers cpc training. My boss is delaying starting my cpc training as he says if all 35 hours are not completed by 9/9/14 then any that I have done will not count and I will have to do all 35 hours again.

I read somewhere on this forum that this is wrong and that training would only not count if it was done more than 5 years ago.

Can someone please point me towards somewhere online so that I can prove my boss wrong.

Do you have acquired rights to the DCPC until 9th September or did you do the initial DCPC ?

When did you pass your car test?

Have you ever passed a DSA LGV C1(7.5) test?

Did you take and pass initial LGV DCPC?

I have aquired rights as I passed my car test long before 1997. I have never sat a 7.5 ton test as my 7.5 ton entitlement was on my car licence. Hope this makes my situation clearer.

The you need 35 hours of periodic dcpc before Sept 10th next month to drive LGVs commercially after that date

If you do not get the 35 hours by that date then you will have to suspend commercial LGV driving until you do complete all 35 hours

You could have obtained the 35 hours between 09/09/2009 and 09/09/2014 so what made you leave it so late?

BULLCRAP

Any 7 hour period of dcpc is valid for 5 years from when it was done

To give your boss a chance - what he said was the original plan when it first came into force

Thanks for the information,My boss only decided a few months ago that it was “essential” that i drive a lorry or i would have done the cpc sooner. our organisation has its own cpc trainers and it was one of these guys that has given my boss the wrong information. do you know where i can find this online so i can rub it in my bosses face.
