Does anyone know if when passing C+E, will this upgrade my licence cat D to D+E?

It does but some on here have had to remind the DVLA of the fact when their licences have been returned :slight_smile:

If you passed B after 1996 it will also upgrade the B to B+E and that B+E will remain valid for as long as you have B because B+E is not under the D4 medical

how does it work the other way round, if u do your c + e and passed your car test after 96

if you later do your PCV test are you given the +e with this due to doing the c+e?

The D gets upgraded to D+E if the holder already has C+E or gets C+E

Would not make logical sense for it to be other !!

EDIT + ADD
Called DVLA and they confirmed what I stated
“If the driver has both D and CE then they get DE no matter in what order the tests were taken”
