Thanks Jen.

Animal. If you are taking your CE in a few weeks then good luck with it.

Today, I wasn’t feeling overly confident. A lot of missed gears and going too slow on turning left or right. This afternoon though was a good bit better. Nice stretch of motorway driving, then stuck in traffic at road works lol. Reverse is getting slightly better. Still taking the shunt but thats better than getting a fail on test day I suppose. Thought I had really got myself into a pickle. I could see the end of the trailer was too close to the first cone with the pole. I was going to start again but my instructor told me not to and to correct it. Had to really think about it for a second but managed to correct it which is good. I think I’m doubting myself too much. I also feel as we haven’t had a lot of driving time, certainly not as much as was done in the ridgid. Oh well, two more days to go before test. We’ll see what happens.

kittykat keep your chin up dont get down your doing well just keep plugging away the traffic down our way is hell just now so you cant avoid it

KK how many times on here do we say about the bad day that you get thats what you had a blip you can do this and we are all routing for you please dont get down about it enjoy your training and you will be holding that blue cert before you know it , and if you celebrate anything like me, my hangover lasted 2 days lol !

oh and ang good luck

Agreed. We all had that ‘bad’ day during training. Then we picked ourselves up, kicked ourselves, and got through it.

Even as qualified drivers we still have ‘bad’ days. (Except the perfect ones)

Best of luck.

Good luck and keep us posted same with the class 2 everybody had there off day and then it improved from there :sunglasses:

Good Luck Kitty Kat with your test, wish you all the best, looking forward to hearing you passed     :sunglasses:

Thanks everyone. Still can’t help beating myself up about the stupid mistakes Im making. This morning was terrible, mock test, 6 minors and 3 serious I think, most of which is approach to junctions, not giving myself enough time to get my gear and position right. Im finding manouvering tight corners really difficult, there was a point when I didn’t draw the unit forward enough. . This afternoon had a much better drive which I feel slightly better about. My instructor says I can pass but I have to get rid of all these niggly mistakes. Weekend off and test on Tuesday, time not finalised yet. I’ve got Monday to get everything bang on.

Dont dwell on it over the weekend just relax and get your head together you have 2 more days to iron out all these little niggles .
YOU CAN DO IT

Your abilities seem to be about where mine were when I still had a day’s training to go. That’s what the last day is for - bringing everything together. You have got the ‘bad day’ out of the way. Just remember, you have only made 2 or 3 serious mistakes (minors are only important if you have lots of them) - so only 2 or 3 things to straighten-out and a whole day to do it in. No problem.

Just try to relax and enjoy the weekend and get a good kip on Sunday night so you’re fresh for Monday morning :open_mouth:

Thanks everyone. So that’s it test day tomorrow at 1pm. A lot more confident today. Done 3 reverses with a shunt all no probs, couple/uncouple ok, not always getting unit lined up straight with trailer, muppet that I am. Road driving was ok too though some smart ■■■ bus driver mounted the kerb to get past me coming out of a side street and nearly plowed down someones hedge. It would have been nice if he had just held back for me. My instructor said theres nothing I could have done exept wait until the idiot passed me. I am starting to get slightly nervous about tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow. I think everyone has a bad day on their training week, I certainly did.
Try to relax, as cliché as it sounds, and show the examiner a good, safe drive. Seven years ago since I passed and it was brilliant when the examiner told me I’d passed.
The first time out alone in a Class 1 is certainly memorable too!
Good luck.

Good luck for tomorrow, go girl.

Girl power lol.

Your gonna pass tomorrow no worries , get an early night have a bit of a practise tomorrow morning then relax ,take it slow calm and controlled you have all the elements just remember its about 90 mins full concentration and you will hold that beautiful blue certificate , happy days ,
will have fingers crossed for you between 1-230 you can do it

Have a banana at the start of your morning drive and then have one just before your test and it will calm the nerves. Best wishes!

Good advice unless you don’t like bananas
