C+e training and cpc

Hi passed C a few years back, need to do CPC. Aiming to do C+E in near future does any of that training count towards CPC?

Which driver cpc do you now need to do - initial modules 2 & 4 or periodic 35 hours?

Need to do periodic 35

Some LGV training schools have their C and C+E course approved for X amount of dcpc hours but most do not advertise that so its a case of asking

It will cost a little more for such an approved course but its worth it

You can get more dcpc hours if training is 2 to 1 as the time spent in the spare seat whilst the other is driving still counts as training

Generally 1 to 1 = 14 hours dcpc with 2 to 1 = 28 hours dcpc

We offer cpc with driver training where possible. Always worth the conversation.

Ours counts as CPC, if you do say a 3 day course, you can count 2 days towards your CPC card, can’t count the last day as you are on your test in the afternoon not in contact with the instructor. WQe find a lot of customers count training towards their CPC hours, better than been stuck in a classroom.

Like the other trainers above our training also counts towards Periodic CPC training. This is one of the advantages of 2 to 1 training as you are training for at least the required 7 hours each day. Our approval for 2015 even covers the test day as we extend that day to cover the time spent taking the test.

Many students prefer this practical approach as things like digital tachograph, drivers hours, daily vehicle checks, safe loading, fuel efficiency etc can be learnt as part of the overall course but without negatively impacting on the actual licence acquisition training.

For drivers taking C+E training that already hold a CPC card these hours count towards the next 35 hours which for most people need to be completed by Sept 2019.
