C+E advice

So I have my C+E booked up. 8 hours training one day test the following day at 13:30. I have the option to move the test forward to 09:45. Should I go for the early one and get it done or stick to the original time?

Hope you and your trainer are well good because that is not a lot of training time :exclamation:

If you would be receiving a full mornings training before the afternoon test then I would seriously advise you to stick with the later test. If you’re only going to recieve an hour either way then I would prefer to take the earlier test and let the extra traffic work to my advantage.

I will say that you are braver than me, as that is very minimal training for C+E, but I’m sure you’ll be fine regardless.

Good luck mate and keep us posted

I take it that includes practicing your reverse manoeuvre? Sounds very minimal to me

Take the test at 09.45, roads will be quieter allowing for kids off school but not yet out of bed to do stuff, most folks are at work, you have less time to stress about it.

Make your own luck and lady luck may shine down on you.

The problem is if he has an hour+ of practice time prior to the test, which would put him smack bang in the middle of rush hour

But if he is getting no training on test day then best to go early.

iirc an hours practice time is the norm, or it was when I did it

4 hours training on the day of test

Oh 13.30 prolly better then.

Good luck. I’ve got my test on the 15th I’m training Tuesday to Friday with 1020 test with 4 hours a day training. I’m hoping should be ok after 3 years shunting.

3 years shunting you should smash it! Good luck.

And thanks to everyone for you’re advice. Appreciate it.

I had 1 full day of practice the half day before my C+E test passed np so can be done no shunting limited Cat C experience

So can be done

Spend most of the time on reverse then with some driving just to refine things

Ang, how the blazes did you manage to fit a days training into half a day?
