Hi,CC,is that the same Morgans from Craven Arms that turned into Morgan Varylease?

D & N Morgan were from Craven Arms Pete, and did go to rental after packing the haulage up. All gone quite a few years. Various businesses on their old site nowadays.
Cheers Dave.

Ta for reply Dave, they had a rental depot at birmingham next door to chambers and cook

Hi ,Folks , D and m MORGAN , A finer firm that ever was we used to load back from them from CARDIFF ,and Newport , they used to work with us as near as poss to our Base they paid fare rates and on time , A shame they moved to into rentals but thats life , Cheers Barry ,Waddys Haulage

That’s the thing Barry. Three big haulage outfits, Morgan’s, Swain’s and Lloyds of Ludlow all in South Shropshire and all had big fleets in those days. Morgan’s went into trailer rental, and then finished. Swain’s and Lloyds are still around, but not as big these days.
Cheers Dave.

Hi CC what a great shot, taken in their yard on Boundary. Road, Saltney, which is now flats and houses, proper yard that always had a puddle in it no matter what the weather
Some great caractures worked there, Mayers were the first in Shotton to use skelly trailers so no flat iron for those boys! I guess late 70s or early 80s shot before they bought the Merc’s
Again CC great shot, many thanks
