Yuck - I hate windows 8 with a passion. I think xp was the last decent version of windows, v7 was bloody awful in that all the drivers changed and half of the stuff we had in the office at the time no longer worked.
Aye, windows 8 is a really big learning curve. Apparently its ok once you get used to it but i’m just not interested. My mums got it in her house and I hate it.
To me, XP was the best OS but speak as I find, win 7 is perfectly fine now after having been an XP user since the year dot.
Win 8 though is full of silly gimmicks i just don’t need. They can keep it.

I’ve just ordered a 6+
I’ve no doubts it’ll be fine. It’s like when the 4 came out and there was all that scaremongery about it losing reception if you held it the wrong way. I’ve had every incarnation of iphone, and if I’ve ever had any gripe, it’s battery life, but unless they make it much larger, that’s going to be the price you pay.

Quick update and thanks to diesel dog - got one of these cubot p9s, and well impressed. The dual sim does allow 2 seperate lines and phone numbers, and you can import the iTunes music. Also is a much better screen than my iPhone 4. Even my kids are now looking on enviously - for once dad might have a few cool points 
Has anyone got one of the smaller screen versions? I’m quite tempted for the kids but I think the screen is a bit too big for their needs and wouldn’t last 2 minutes at the skate park. It’s disappointing the smaller one doesn’t have gps. Would be great to have a handset that was smaller with all the tech of the P9
