Hi Alan.
I’m not sure of the exact year that Kenny Barr died,but I would guess around late 90s.He was on H and S at Wincanton at the time.

hi alan i also think it was late 90s afraid pete died also i remember pete driving a s36 foden with a gardener 180for butlers.i do not know if roy is still around i cant remember him ;i will ask my mate at tarmac see if he knows.paul

Hey Paul, does Amberhill still run out the quarry and what’s the score with them? Did Tarmac sell a portion of the fleet off and Amberhill sprung up overnight much like Via Gellia Transport did over at Middle Peak and Dene?

I took a few pics in the late 90s of their lorries when I was in your neck of the woods but have only managed to find this F reg Scanny.

hi bd hope you like photos.amberhill still work out of tarmac quarry i have just spoken to my mate and he tells me that f101 mnk belonged to achap called bob dawson amberhill bought some old leyland constructors and fodens from tarmac they are replacing some of the fleet with ex yorkshire aggregates.paul

hi alan sorry to inform you but roy died a few years ago ;i have just spoken to amate who is a owner driver for tarmac and he remembered him.the driver of the leyland is b.k.ryan who used to live at rawmarsh when he drove that lorry.paul
