….to brief him in his meeting.
Trump will be waiting in trepidation as we speak.
Word is Starmer is dressing up in his Action Man kit to take the call, ……so expect a surrender from Putin anytime soon.

I fully expect Trump to surrender (someone else’s) land to Putain.
Yeah well let’s not get carried away before giving the talks a chance.
It may or may not be the best deal towards peace on the table, but atm it’s the ONLY one.
Way I see it Putin just carrys on until thousands are killed on both sides, either to a stalemate or occupation of Ukraine, or the likes of Starmer puts his size 12s in with his pseudo bravado with no substance or real chance of winning, and it escalates to nuclear weapons then WW3.
Or we give Trump a chance whether anybody hates him or not or whatever his motive…..(I ain’t naive enough to detect the obligatory ‘‘hidden agenda when it comes to politicians’’ scenario either.)
If he fails try something else.
It’s like this mate, I can’t stand Starmer, but in the unlikely or neo impossible event of him actually doing something good for my country, I will be the first to give him credit.
So if Trump’s methods work, see what the Ukranians say.

Zelensky has said he doesn’t want to surrender any land as a reward to an aggressor. And who can blame him?
Putain, if given an inch tomorrow, will just re-arm and take another yead in a couple of years time. “Trying it out” or “giving it a go” is not a zero cost option. It is a chance for Russia to trade with the world again outside of sanctions, build up it’s funds and invest in more arms. Putain is currently too cash strapped to do too much. Giving him a breather is only postponing the inevitable.
Let Trump talk by all means, I seriously doubt any good will come, but as you say, talking will do little harm. But if those talks result in Trump giving in to Putain, then it will be bad for all of us.
And the last I heard Trump and Putain will be talking one-on-one before Zelensky gets in the room. Trump thinks he is a great deal-maker, but I reckon Putain will wrap him around his little finger.
