Yes. The DoJ asked a Federal Judge to unseal the Grand Jury files.
It is a bit like asking a traffic warden to unlock the door of Belmarsh prison. Judge Rosenberg, obeying the letter of the law, said that her hands were tied.
Although Federal Judges have many powers, they are still not above the law. There is a lesson there for some.
In the vote today only two voted against releasing the files. Both Republicans.
Let us now see who expedites the release of the files? And who obstructs it?
why has starmer given those keys away as well.
my guess is another democrat will block it. they can vote for what they like if they know its never going to happen.

Judge’s Role:
The judge’s involvement is limited to initial instructions and providing guidance on the grand jury’s duties. The judge also may provide additional instructions as needed,
so in other words its a federal judge that gives the instructions no some super dooper franglais imagination judge.
