Busy Mr Trump

A Spanish newspaper, yes.
Reporting on a Gallup poll.

You have any problems with that?

Maybe you and I agree here?

Trump no longer gives a tinker’s cuss what the polls say. Not for a coupla years anyhow.
He is where he wants to be, and if he succeeds in undermining the US Constitution, he will not be bothered about the mid-terms.

He does not care what the majority think of him, and so is not bothered about treating them well. He has a few rich donors and sycophants, just as Putin has his oligarchs and if he heads up courts and other institutions he will gather more power to himself.
Get interest rates down and borrow more to finance the tax cuts for the rich he has planned.
Job done and yes, laughing all the way.

I hope that the US will wake up and stop him.

And why is that exactly that YOU ‘hope’ for this?
Why are YOU so concerned ?

What?..that Trump actually gaf what YOU think and say?..as I said?
You continue to display utter delusion on stuff mate, but you excel even yourself now as far as illusion of grandeur goes :joy:

Because the US is the biggest economy in the world.
“When the US sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold”.

Trump is doing serious damage to the global economy.

I do not think the global economy is a perfect thing, but taking a hammer to the US economy is not making it better for anyone. Not the US, and not the rest of the West. (Arguably it is getting better for Russia as they are now being treated more favourably that the rest!)

I also dislike that the US under Trump seems to be a less free and less tolerant place.
In one sense other world leaders may see him get away with it", seethe US does trade with Russia and other bad actors, and see no problems in being more extreme. It does not look good for the future for anyone IMHO.

I see nothing wrong with commenting on what Trump is doing, and giving my opinions of it. Exactly as you are doing. I do not live there, but I do not like overly repressive states. It is horrible for any human being that lives there.

Of course not.
Your imagination is running riot.

I clearly said that Trump only cares about what a small circle around him thinks. He does not care about voters so why would he care about me?

I know what you mean…nor do I.
We live in a one where protestors are jailed alongside rioters.
Where your mate Karen off Facebook is sat in a cell for saying hurty words.
Where parents are harrased by Police for contributing in a Whats app group.
Where people are being questioned for showing disdain to a two tier system which goes all out to protect a racial and religious demographic over an indigenous population.
Where illegal immigrants are shown priority over our pensioners in terms of catering for them.

But yeah…we should all be like yourself, concerning ourselves disproportionately,.and wetting our p4nties about what goes on in the US and about Donald F. Trump .

Is it now…
Do I REALLY have to point past posts out to you yet again…wtf is up with you man.
Ok.

‘‘His’’ referring to YOU.

I am getting nearly as bad as you going all out to prove I am right.
And tbh I was not being entirely serious anyway that Trump knows you even exist…let alone listen to you.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@franglais
After reading your statesman like ’ When the US sneezes’’ speech,:joy:
It suddenly dawned on me you appear to be virtually out on a limb here…
Your fellow Trump hate campaigners seem to be taking a break…

Even your mate who admittedlly did not show your intent concern for the fate of the world economy, but rather wished for a world recession rather than see Trump have a modicum of success.

They are obvioisly more fickle than you are h4rdcore mate.
Past displayed by your other (Boris) hate campaign.

Trump is being quite even handed in some respects.
Not only are both share prices taking a dive, but the investors first alternative choice, Gov Bonds (Gilts) are also looking sad.
And now his other policies are taking a swipe at another source of income for the US: tourism.
Several stories about bookings for the US falling, and generally less inquiries being made.

But the recent story of two German girls being detained and then deported is as bad as any. They are travelling the globe and although they had the correct entry visa, and a ticket to leave, they did not have hotel bookings for their entire stay in Hawaii. They intended moving around…touring…being tourists in fact.
Detained, locked up, and deported.

A tip for any terrorists out there: book an hotel and you’ll be fine!

Just being reading about the two German girls, suspicions arose with border officials when one had used the ESTA system for entry and the other had some form of visitor visa. They had flown into Honolulu for five weeks and later admitted they were intending to look for work while there, which is a big no no in the states.
Germany has recently changed it’s travel advice to citizens intending to visit the USA for any reason.

Interesting. That is certainly against US rules.
Any link to that please?

Franglais not doing his research nor checking his facts? :scream:
Whatever next.
Here’s a link from me.
:joy:

''Both claimed they were touring California but later admitted they intended to work – something strictly prohibited under U.S. immigration laws for these visas."

That’s the same link that I read

But don’t say you intend to find work though.
Oh and check your facts.

Pumps fist in air shouting YESSS.
:joy:

From the link.
“A pair of German teenagers said they were turned away at the border in Honolulu last month because they were unable to present lodging confirmation to Customs and Border Protection officers, though the agency said they were turned away because they intended to perform work prohibited by their visas.”

The girls did not say to the paper they were intending to work.
The US agency allege that the girls said they were going to work. This allegation has surfaced about a week after the deportation.

Of course if @robroy wants to take everything he is told by “official sources” as being absolutely correct, and has no cynicism about that at all then fine.
Deport people for things they have not done. Arrest them for crimes they have not committed yet but might do later. I am sure he has never spoken out about such things.

:joy::joy::joy:
You are so 'kin easy to wind up mate.
Lighten up ffs and stop taking stuff soooo seriously like the world is on your shoulders.
Never mind… at least you have proven yourself ‘‘right again’’ :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:…be sure to mark it down in your log.

As for official sources and cynicism…I did not care enough to apply it mate this time tbh… I was just adding to the discussion.
If I am wrong so be it…I will be the first to admit it.:joy:

Here is another link for the story.
These two arrived in Honolulu and said they were touring a California but had no onward travel booked. They also said while being questioned by officials they may take on some freelance work. The German consulate has also reinforced their advice to German citizens that possession of an ESTA or any other visa does not mean automatic entry to the USA.
Don’t know if you have been to the states but Border Control at any point of entry can be severe.
I remember back in 1993 we went to Florida and we both had the old blue passports which had your occupation written in the id page. My wife had “civil servant” in hers and the official asked exactly which goverment dept she worked in, how long had she worked there, was she entering the US on official business and had she signed the Official Secrets act.

Yeah it sounds like a bit of a non event to me.
2 young lasses pushing their luck and getting found out…as kids do, I have 4 like that myself ffs.
Sure their treatment was a bit ott, but this is the sort of things other countries like that do…they aint all mamby pamby soft touches like this one, putting their criminals up in 4 star hotels.

But as ever people like Franglais will jump on it, highlight it, sensationalise it , and blow it out of all proportion to maintain his ‘anti Trump’ agenda…he was the same with Boris Johnson.
Then he’ll carry on keep digging a bigger hole rather than just say…
‘‘Ahh right, so I could have got it wrong then’’.

…outside of the US. Which would have been legal as I understand it.

But the US does have the right to refuse entry to anyone at their discretion. Fair enough then.
I wonder how many others will be put off?
And not just because of the refusal of entry, but the full search, lock up and being handcuffed. A bit different that the film where a man is refused entry to the US.

Of course they are going to say that when being questioned by some hard line official type, ptesumably sat there in a pair of shades, an earpiece in and a shoulder holster with a gun sticking out.
What did you expect '‘It’s a fair cop guv (or mein herr) , I’m bang to rights and no mistake’
Whilst holding out both hands to be willinglly cuffed.:joy:
They are TEENAGERS,.teenagers lie to get out of stuff and to cover their arses

I have a mate who had to show up in person 300+ miles away at the US Embassy in London for an interview before he was allowed to go to Florida on holiday.
As he had a couple of convictions on his record for fighting about 6 years ago…
Do people not get into fights in the US ?
,.I know for a fact John Wayne used to.
