Business Travel Insurance

Allo,

I asked a while ago who you all use for insurance when driving in Europe, to cover stuff like documents, posessions, medical stuff, repatriation, and so on.

The response was somewhat underwhelming cough but hey, none-the-less I managed to find a firm I thought was reasonable.

Annual cover, maximum 60 days per trip (so set foot in the UK at least once every 8 weeks then yer ok) covering lots of useful stuff that includes truckers needs IMHO.

The only worrying policy clause was “no cover for manual labour” - so I phoned up to clarify and they don’t consider working as a driver to be within “manual labour” - they’d consider that to be stuff like working as a brickie, joiner, sparky etc.

Its £99 for their cover, with addable extras (like security stickers to help identify valuable belongings).

Personally I think it’s well worthwhile especially if you take a laptop, PDA, a couple of mobile phones etc.
