Ive been ret 10yrs now and haven’t been to the burnside since late 70, but remember it well.Dont know what it was like when you were there but when I stopped there regular the parking was rough,then you walked down a track to the café.The food was great,the facilities were good but basic dave who ran it was a good man friendly and helpful.In them days I stopped in the digs and in winter they were the place to be.They were an old house at the side of the café with [I think]4 rooms 3 beds in each[cozy] and loads of blankets.It was a great café but it will probably be gone now,happy days.
If it was the 1 coming into Harthill off the M8 then its no longer there. Last time I went past I think there were a bus company in it.
