just north of Colchester on the A12 northbound is a burned out car just over the crash barrier.About 6 feet from the hard shoulder perched at an angle - Been there months ,every time i see it i wonder what to god was it ?,it sits next to a heap of tyres , i never get a chance to have a really good look. Anyone on here know?

About a mile before Hobby Horse roundabout? Over a year that’s been there. Fella in the drivers seat ain’t too happy but he probably deserved it!
I’ve seen the car in the OP, though I know nothing about it.
I also see the red car on the A14 which it seems someone has recently had the wheeels off it
I saw the A12 one yesterday, a BMW if I recall correctly. I wondered how the hell they managed to get it there as the Armco looked undamaged.
I’ve also seen a car in Devon (I think) in a farmers field on top of a mound smashed to ■■■■. At least with this one you can see where they got it wrong on a bend and went through the hedge.

Not a lot of it left now.
I think it’s the last time those people will use the airport meet and greet parking company!
The car on the A12 happened in late November last year on a Saturday night / Sunday morning.
I drove past the site on the Saturday evening and all was clear, went back past on the Sunday morning at about 8am and there were 2 police and 2 people from Suffolk Council on the scene (had Suffolk Country Council on their car and their high viz). It was already well and truly burnt out by 8am and the fire department had long gone.
The pile of tyres around it didn’t start to appear until a few weeks later and have gradually got worse.
Every now and then when I drive past you will see someone from the council, either in a car or a van, looking around the site and taking pictures.
about a fortnite ago as i passed by it i saw an excavator up near the cars front end digging the scrubland with its bucket, thought aha- hes pulling it out using the digger. But no no no,its still there … i MUST get a foto of it,Bugging me what is it,looks a bit like a maroon vauxhall insignia or praps BMW as said erlier looks like the backend burned the most ?
Has it been there long enough to be on streetview?

no it isnt
its literally jus passed the offslip into dedham ? anyone who knows where it is try n get a photo please, i will try this week also. a picture paints a 1000 words ,it looks like it clean leapt the crash barrier then landed at right angles to the barrier and red hot burnt bigtime, maybe it did !
I think it’s a 3 series, or possibly a VW Jetta
A new one…
On the A15/A153 roundabout at Sleaford. It’s so far into the brambles you can’t tell what make it is.

The BMW had been there for well over a year before it was burned out. I have often wondered why it wasn’t recovered before this happened.
As for the Armco, it was damaged (when the BMW hit it I suspect) and has recently been replaced. Why oh why didn’t the highways get the car out beforehand?

Probably the same crew who did the same to the Peugeot in the bush/tree down near the polish war memorial on the A40, replaced the barriers then the following week, recovery had to hiab it out .

01here it is ! taken me ages and many attempts at getting a snap of the BMW?
Putting my anorak on I’ll hazard a guess it’s an E90 3 series so between 2005 to 2013ish.
Quite often used to see cars in laybys on the A13 with the hazards on, following week still there, hazards duller and slower. Then bits would would be missing, lights, wings, doors, wheels, bonnet etc. Then the interior would start filling up with old carpets, sinks, bin bags, and any old rubbish until the council removed it.
