as my mate regularly says ‘Principles never made anyone rich’
depends entirely on your viewpoint of rich.
True, I must be honest I can’t and haven’t worked for companies that I believe have ‘taken’ me for money, and I am not rich. Some of these companies have resurfaced, and have become better, more stable companies, than they were previously. I still probably wouldn’t do it, and I am by no means putting an argument for it. I know/knew a few Bulmers Lads, some of them were real 'old school and are probably a credit to the company, I have also met a lot of lads that Andy talks of, and the less said the better

my point is not against a genuine bankrupt case or someone who genuinely can’t pay.(ussually after not being paid himself by a pheonix comapny that has down sized and now no longer needs it’s subbies…)
the argument is against going into admin and re-emerging as a new pheonix company, leaving a trail of debt behind.
however this is part of haulage, always has been and always will be as already stated.i’m not green to it,i’ve been burned on a few occasions, hence my dislike of it.
thanks for the understanding renault man some times its a bit hard to put u point accross but if this happend to any other members employes wot would they do times are hard but its not clear to everyone
we run a small commercial garage…need i say more?
why arnt hauliers aloud to make profit or they dont want too, all the customers bulmers work for do. same old story to many lorries around opperator licences given out to nearly everyone with cash in the bank. when one haulier goes ■■■■ up another one expands and the cycle is contineous repeated.
andy best:
i can name 4 hauliers that have cut the rate to take work of bulmers and one incedent was in the commercial moter although it didnt name who it was
what goes around comes around
who saw the recession coming 2 years ago i work for bulmers ipswich we stil turn a profit so bulmer got that right. too big too soon maybe? but good firm to work for.i think bulmers doing what he had to to get through these hard times theres always casualties sad but true lets hope things improve for us all.

It’s been obvious for at least two years that there was a recession on the way. Nobody expected it to be quite this bad but a recession was expected.
