These two old established transport companies from Penrith have there vehicles painted in very similar colours,is their any connection between them?
Bullmans is old and established more than I can say for Jenkies.
I don’t believe they’re connected, just pure coincidence. I may be wrong as Bullmans did have a few naughty goings on a few years ago and couldn’t get an O licence. Maybe Alan helped but I don’t believe so.
Think its just simpler to buy white trucks a.d give them basic signage rather than having the whole thing wrapped or painted. Pretty sure they’ve both been that paint scheme for all the time I’ve seen them (grew up in Penrith).
Checked directors and nothing listed for Jenkinsons.
Think this is what rocketsquadron was talking about:
Trying to start a rumour… mods won’t like that.

Jenkys have always been that colour scheme, Bulmans were this colour scheme once over…think it’s the same outfit.
Does that mean Stobarts are the same company?
I mean, they’ve got some white units, and some walking floor trailers, so must be right?
Time for pre-mod unless you can actually post some possible evidence as to your train of thought? Otherwise your another RDC bull ■■■■■■■

NOT the same, and no relation … the photo is of a Dave Bulman vehicle … they were based at Lazonby, about 6 miles from Penrith and did a lot of work for Criddle Burgess feeds on Kingstown estate in Carlisle, (now Carrs Billington)… after Dave senior retired and finished the business, Dave Bulman junior had an artic tipper for several years…
I lived in Lazonby for more than 20 years and know the family. (even did a few weeks for Dave senior when he was short staffed one year)
