Bulker weigher

My boss has looked into getting one for our puddle jumper and our grab wagon. Apparently you can get weighers now that don’t require you to lift the body. Are these like the axle weighers that curtainsiders have?
Anyone used Woodland weighers? To “span” them you had to stick a pencil type tool into the back of the head unit and turn it then mess about twiddling a little knob (ooh matron  ) until the number on the screen matched your net weight. Crap things.

My pick up has the vishay system on its more accurate than a weighbridge and works on memory not weight .

If you have got a PM weigher or a Vishay weigher you can telephone them in Barnsley and ask to speak with an engineer and they will talk you through the setting it up and operation of it they have for me a couple of times no problem.Regards Todd

As above , somewhere on the unit there will be a phone number of supplier or agent.
Ours is Bradford which is head office I think.
When I rang about the weighed on our big bite a really nice chap talked it through on phone.

I done bunkers for a bit.
Was running sugar beat.
Loaded up on a bit of a side gradient didn’t realise at the time it would knock scales out.
Got to factory weighed in at 48600 oops.
Lost 5 loads the next week I think it was. ahwell

My walking floor has a PM weigher, but my last ejector still had a old gauge’ which did they not run off the tyre pressures?? Was actually quite good unless you was on un even ground.

Well, thank you all for the advice and the humorous comments. It appears it will need calibrating. I phoned PM at Bradford and as mentioned, the guy up there was very helpful.
Thank you all.

Mine’s underweighing by 20kg according to the weighbridge. I don’t think that’s anything to worry about when I mostly muck shift and we sell by the load.
