On the Whitesnake tour i did in the summer, we had to go to Istanbul, we got through the Bulgarian side in 5 mins, after the cheif saw what i was carrying and wanted a t-shirt, no problem mate, this is a doddle i thought, then into no-mans land to get thru into Turkey

Sadly the t-shirt bribe didnt work getting into Turkey, so it was 11hours later that we left, shame cos i wanted to get some pics taken,
how long you have to wait for borders ? are they - border control officers treat you well ? cos you r english (let you to jump over the queue ? or just same as turkish lorries - waiting for hours! ?
11hrs to get into Turkey Ben, no advantage being an English truck, took around 5hrs to get back into BG, even thou we went thru a different and very quiet border.

if you were on carnet tir you could av crossed at novo selo into greece and going through ipsala to turkey. lot quicker.
we dont get a choice as to which border we cross through, its all arranged with the promotor and agent, we just have to go where we are told unfortunatly. although we were only 6 hours getting 15 trucks in
