Buffaload pay

Sat behind this wagon today for about an hour in the snow.

To earn the top line advertised obviously takes a fair bit of graft, and the “Banksy” driver might just be one of their "im not doing that" squadron ?......Ive met a few who have`nt got the gumption or attitude, but slag off those who have and can… :unamused:

Of course it may not have been the driver of that vehicle

They’ve got to pay for that give away advertising slogan somehow:

buffaload.co.uk/buffaload-lo … -on-board/

they have never paid that amount ever… 4 on 4 off works out at 500 plus 10 daily bonus… any overtime paid at 150 which isn’t too bad… But they expect you to work max hours aka 3 15HRS per week plus a 13… even though the contract states 12 hours… they have been burning through drivers ever since they bought davis haulage… as they never increased their wage which is probably still at 125…
I was their for 18 months and left as there was unusual things happening such as struggling to pay for fuel, bins and security… Also bonuses were getting taken off people left right and centre…

Its a shame really because when I started with them they were an awesome company to work for… but got greedy and got into major debt by buying davis haulage…

How many hours a week were you contracted for? 12 hour shifts will mean 42 hours a week

the contract stated 12 hour shifts total 48 hours per week which is what i didn’t understand as like you said its 42 hours…

But there were occasion where drivers ran out of working time and had to be picked up… its mad!!!

Kit issues were my biggest frustration… I would be asked to come in for 13:00 and there would be no units or trailers for round 2 hours which just eats into your day…I have even had it where I got my unit but no single trailers… then I would get to the customers site with them eating me alive about how late I am for the booking :frowning:

Even though the hours were a pain in the arse and the kit issues were crap I really enjoyed the banter with lads… When the lads decided to leave in their droves over October because the boss threw his toys out the pram about shift patterns it felt like a move was needed…

I feel like one of them whinging ■■■■■■■■■ hahah … But I feel 100% better in my new job now as their is just less stress…

I enjoyed “customers eating me alive” the best thing to do is smile at them or pick up the paperwork and head back to the lorry for further instructions!
