Budget 2012...

So what are people’s opinions?

*strictly budget related people! Other websites are a available for Tory/lib dem bashing

What you come to expect from the Tories. Tax cuts for the rich :unamused:

They may aswell not have bothered, all I can get from it is the joy of knowing I will be expected to work well into my seventies if I last that long …

I’m a pensioner, you can guess what I think!

Taking away the age related personal allowance will reduce my actual pension in real terms by £500 a year, whilst reducing the top-earners 50% rate to 45% will benefit them by at least £7500 a year!

Got to keep the rich happy as they create the jobs.

Good to see ■■■■ going up again. It’s the right thing to do and hopefully one day only the super rich will be able to smoke. Not seen anything about booze yet, but hope it’s not too drastic as so many pubs have shut down recently soon there will only be charity shops on the high streets.

“No change to existing plans on fuel duty. Vehicle excise duty to rise by inflation, but frozen for road hauliers.”

What a load of rubbish for normal people!!!

Chancellor George Osborne has said a 3.02 pence per litre fuel duty increase will take effect on 1 August as planned.

Motor industry officials were dismayed

hey ho

A sign of the times, four new shops built end of last year. Spar, Indian Restaurant, Barnardos and the other one is still vacant.

Budget was no great surprise.

What budget? didn’t even know it was today and have heard nothing of what has been proposed/changed, and I like it that way.

Cant see the point in winging , we let em in !!!, suppose the cant be arsed to vote
mob will moan the loudest !!! :unamused:

Not interested in the slightest, why because its the same old carp regurgitated over and over again

Put simply, stuff has to be paid for and people have to stump up. Doesn’t matter which bunch of suits we ‘vote’ in, the rich have to be kept happy, the middle class have to share the illusion that they are doing ok and have a chance of becoming the rich and the masses of poor can put up with it or ■■■■ off.

Do you really think anything would be different if labour were running things today?

■■■■■■ off to a better run country is the answer but of course when your poor that’s hard to do

Pumping more inflation into the economy is now Govt policy. It’s the only way to get govt and personal debt down, by making your saving disappear.
Fuel duty increases feed inflation, and tax breaks for those that can afford to spend, whilst taking it off the OAPS and

For all Labour’s blustering they know, and have accepted, that they would have had to implement a great deal of the cuts that this government is administering.

Whether you like or loathe this government, or even care, it has to be accepted that Mr Osborne is a very astute chancellor. He certainly has the opposition dancing on the head of a pin desperately trying to land a punch on him . . . and failing miserably.

Has car tax gone up? Mine needs doing by the end of the month, if it’s going up after midnight, I’ll do it this afternoon!

Don’t forget the banks owe the nation plenty of money,or has their debt to the public ■■■■■ been wiped? we want our money back just a those greedy waste of space bankers say to small struggling businesses , so where is the money we lent them? i cannot believe that the government have not demanded repayment in full if they can afford to pay bonuses again,

Another example of the rich AKA Government looking out for the other rich greedy (zb’s)

So they propose to give with one hand (income tax) and take back with it’s other hands, increase in fuel duty and road tax alone could see more join the unemployment queues, as those who are in low paid jobs will find it no longer financially viable to go to work !!

Then there is the knock on effect of the rise in fuel duty the transport costs go up yet again, so results in everything we buy from the shop going up , which affects everyone not to mention fast food takeaways from supermarkets are going to be subject to VAT too,

We should demand a referendum for change of government ,

Prices wont go up, Wages WILL go further down, caus us drivers have no standing power to ensure we keep a decent wage
