BRS 66

As you can see, there will be another BRS event at the Lincoln Farm café this July.
Alex

I trust you’ve got your passport and visa ready Alex. Trailer boy for Robin again?

The referendums no till September and hopefully wee will all stay one big happy family an no need Salmonds passports. Eddie.

Alex doesn’t need a passport or visa.He knows that back road over Shap, he,ll sneak in as an asylum seeker!!

Cheers Bassman

Ah a member of the ancient order of border reivers.

Alan

At BRS 64 Robin had three lorries, he has sold the Albion. I don’t know if I’ll be driving ROG or Gary Hill.
Either way, I’ll be there.
A ‘Border Reiver’'? No, a Glaswegian who knows how to avoid the commissioners at Carlisle by using backroads.

Mick, you’re right, I might get by as an Asylum Seeker, God Knows, the one’s around here (Of which there are too many!) live off the fat of the land, our taxes!

Not all Scots, including me, would agree with your sentiments.

Walter Scott wrote:-
"BREATHES there the man with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
‘This is my own, my native land!’
Whose heart hath ne’er within him burn’d
As home his footsteps he hath turn’d
From wandering on a foreign strand?
If such there breathe, go, mark him well;
For him no Minstrel raptures swell;
High though his titles, proud his name,
Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;
Despite those titles, power, and pelf,
The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonour’d, and unsung.

Politics, like religion, is many things to many people!

Are we talking of Scottish Shortbread here, Norman?
It’s been getting shorter every year since you drove your wagon up here!
Alex

Just a reminder BRS 66 is two weeks tomorrow.

Alex
Don’t,forget the Irn Bru to toast the red and rust, or is it my turn?

Bassman

Will be bringing Pickfords Guy removal van to be used as the “event office” so i’ve been informed by Paul who owns it

Pete Smith

Make sure that the “Events Office” is waterproof to cover all eventualities regarding the weather. We may need somewhere to shelter.

Bassman

It is waterproof,but you also got the cafe for shelter and a health concious fry up!!

Hope there are facilities for Zimmer frames. Those who were there in the begining are getting a bit long in the tooth. :smiley:

Bob
Your the only man I know who has a Fuller Range-Change box on his zimmer! You may be longer in the tooth but your definitely the wisest man who will be at the Lincoln Farm.
