Broken night heater pipes in a scania 164

What a bad design the pipes just fall apart ,
Has anyone used anything else and with success ?

You mean the spiral hose that runs across the underside of the bunk?

Yes that’s it ,they just fall to pieces then after fixing and fixing them they are just to short

Lol
I used to drive a daf loved it
THE BIG SOFA

Love the comfort of a daf ,know a guy that has daf seats in his 143

I wonder if you could find some flexi exhaust hose that would fit, we had some in our container that looked like similar size a while back.

I never fixed mine before I sold it, but thought about getting either a thicker flexi or getting a solid pipe fabricated

a few years ago on a trip to the Scania factory I met the Scania director in charge of product developement in the course of the conversation we got round to the minor niggles with the truck, and i pointed out the problem of the night heater pipes being routed through the storagelockers where tools and such were stored, and how easily they got damaged, and he said that it had never come up on any list of complaints or been bought to their attention :open_mouth:

Well it must be down to the closer you are to the equator then ,never thought of that

Lol, i didnt bother fixing mine as they dont need them in Africa…

Any body used this stuff?
Thanks

Copy the address from the browser on the ebay page and when you reply here look for the URL button, its above the text box I’m typing into.
If its not there you can either use(url)the address(/url) which gives the whole address as a link or (url=the address)some text here which becomes the link to click on(/url)

I’ve used brackets in my example there ( ), you need to use these ones .

If the button is there, use that

Thanks for that ill give it a go.yes I think I’ll try it too the black pipe falls to bits and I taped it up with insulating tape but because the tape is too tight on it it narrowed the pipe thus reducing hot air flow out and in turn the night heater motor gets too hot and switches itself off.
