For the record I believe Plusnet are actually owned by BT although they have kept their own identity.
Personally I have Orange phone and broadband with a discount for having mine and her ( ) mobiles on one account as well!
The phone and broadband package costs me £22 a month and I get 24/7 free calls to landlines. I know of people who have had problems with Orange, but I did manage to track down the UK call centre and get more sense from them on he odd occasion I have had a problem Generally it seems very reliable and at a reasonable price. Been with them since they were Freeserve on 36K dail-up.
Sky broadband is £10 a month if you dont have sky tv and take sky talk which is an extra £10 a month so a total of £20 a month, you get free evening and weekend calls to landlines and it includes your line rental. The broadband comes with no download limits and is never throttled during peak hours. Dont get the sky connect package which is more expensive as it is just a rebranded bt product and has a monthly download cap and is throttled during peak times. If you have sky tv then the total cost for unlimited broadband, line rental and free evening and weekend calls is £17.50 a month. You wont find a better broadband package than sky imho
