Hi. I need to know the specific colour blue as used by British Steel, I don’t know if they changed much before Corus took over? maybe someone can advise me…Thanks. This is the type of colour I need…

This might help?

That blue doesn’t look as light as the blue on later lorries ,don’t let bewick see the sheeting or you’ll be under arrest !

Could have been powder blue ? regards Keith .

hi paul,
there is/was a ral colour for british steel blue, most automotive paint factors that still have the older books may be able to help ? though remember that british steel became corus 15 years ago and in that time technology has taken over the paint mixing and matching process, sometimes not making older colours very easy to find.from memory and it has been a long time since i had to match one,you could try ford olympic blue.goood luck.
regards andrew.

Thanks for that pete, I will see what I can do. Makes a change having sensible offerings at this time of day, normally ‘everyone’s a comedian’…Thanks again
