2Once got stuck here at Sandbach when with my uncle,he was waiting for a load coming in and got too late to run home, not the best place to get stuck in,but at least I got to look round the yard, note what I think was a GUY invincible waiting to go.Uncle was based at Bingley, not exactly the biggest depot, but a great place to explore when you were a young lad like me.BRS Bingley depot 1.jpgBRS Bingley depot 2.JPG
sandbach brs had a lot of tippers mostly ERFs on salt work, and the Stoke BRS depot which i think was in Tunstall , helped out as well . thank you Trevor
There were depots in Stoke and Tunstall. Stoke was in Whieldon Road, fleet code 2E later KJ, and Tunstall was in the High Street code 2E later KK. Mill Street Crewe and Stafford Common Goods Station (KL) were all under Stoke District
thank you for that Mr tidderson , am i right in thinking that one of the stoke depots ran Sentinels ? thank you Trevor .

Hiya wowowwoow Sandbach a bad place to get stuck in■■? in the 60’s it was the place to stay. Sandbach was full of good pubs and digs.
i worked at ERF /Jennings as i drove past the town market place/car/lorry park in a morning there would be maybe 60 lorries getting
ready to set off. after the Sandbach services opened the lorries was banned from parking. this killed Sandbach, the cafe closed the digs
shut shop and the pubs was dead.
