Been to Scotland and Wales Harry if that’s continental work  I had the chance but the money wasn’t much better than uk work so I said no thanks.

Chris I will do that Rome job, And run up to Milan , that will take me at least 8 hours to get there, unless I call in Florence, might see someone I know bella, bella !, Harry, that not waste paper, that going to a newspaper, probaly my local Chronicle & Echo, they are alright to unload when you have a forklift, but when it is done by ropes and muscle, it is alittle dodgy. Chris you can send Keith with me, I might teach him a few tricks, or even corrupt him ha ha ha, benissimo?, if thats Verona, we can pop in to Venice, I know someone there!

hiya,
Norm fully aware thats paper but have tipped it while you was still in bed, but waste paper was sometimes loaded back, i was phoning to see if there was owt back.
thanks harry long retired.

OK mate , just checking , you was not going senile in your old age Harry, but must admitt, since you have come back from the jug, sorry I mean holiday, you have been in top form.

hiya,
Got an appointment with the doc tomorrow been a bit out of sorts for a day or two, it’s forced medicine though the old lady has made me go, life these days is one endless trip to the surgery and i just hate going, i’ll get him to check for senility while i’m there, sort of kill two birds with one stone thingy.
thanks harry long retired.

Sorry about that me old mucker, hope everything is ok, I do know what you mean, I dread going there, specially for my blood test, I always come away feeling worse, than when I went in, even when i go to have my eyes photographed, I have apprehension, we know it is silly, but you can not stop your feelings, but all the best and hope nothing gets worse for you. Sansman Norman

Hi Harry, just seen your post about doc’s appointment, hope all is well mate.I’m the same and my wife plays hell with me if I don’t keep appointments although I’m ok at the moment.
Anyroad when you come back to work  I’ll sort summat out that’s nice and steady - in fact you pick the job and I’ll get the best motor for you,'ows about that?
You can even tek Norman as trailer lad even if you’ve no drag, and an extra long piece of knotted rope in case he’s on t’bunk out of reach.

Hi boys
Norm I know exactly how you feel.A few years back went to Oswestry orthapedic for a opp on my toe, but when doing the preopp they took my blood presure and I passed out. It took them two hours to get me round again. So they said if I could not stand having my presure taken they could not opperate. I said why dide’nt they do it when I had passed out but they dide’nt see the funny side and sent me home.Just as well really as my toe went better on it’s own later.Anyway all that has left me a bit wiery about doctors especaly every time my HGV comes up for renewal and the dreaded medical.I hope Harry go’s on OK and I’m shore we all wish him well…

Regards Keith.

Hi Harry,
Same from me mate, hope everything goes ok for you. Gathered from some of your previous posts you have a bit of a problem. Had a few myself over the years, keep going old mate,we need your good humour on thede forums.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Keith,
I have spent well over fifteen months in the Orthopaedic Hospital at different times, nine and a half months back in 1971. Ive pushed big wheels ever since then, but its a good place, thats why I drive vans now not lorries.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Still in the land of the living, blood and swab tests taken might get to know something late next week but got some tablets and a throat spray to make things more comfortable, you can’t keep a good man down though, the Red and Rust are still in need of men like me, if only for the tea boy, but Chris has offered me light duties with old Norm as trailer boy just hope the old goat does’nt bruise easy and if he behaves himself might let him have a go at the handlebars side.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Harry,
Glad to hear you have some medication to help things. Good job Norman will have you to supervise him ,don’t hit him to hard with that knotted rope,he might react a bit different to your last trailer boy.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
I guess i’ll have to train old Norm in the noble art of roping and sheeting we are all aware he’s a tilt man and it’ll have to be a day cab BRS rules state all rest to be taken away from the vehicle so no cab cowboys allowed, and certainly there’ll be no sand wobbling i don’t want to get into his bad ways but i promise to be gentle with the rope or he might not buy my breakfast and buy my booze on the nights out.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi,
Harry will this do as your day cab. It’s got plenty of rope on for you to choose a nice length
