Do any of you work or have worked for BG Leicestershire (Barrow, East Leake, Gotham) I’m looking for some insight into the working environment, start times (is it the same everyday) and rough hours per day when working directly for them I currently do runs with my employer and quite enjoy the work.
I deliver there but have zero experience of working for them . However I recently spoke to a couple of their drivers who were not happy because they’ve changed all their shifts from four on four off to Monday to Friday and cut £x thousand from their wages.
This could just be driver whinges though. Pop along and check for yourself mate. Only you can decide whether it’s for you or not.
With the perceived slow down in the building materials, you could see why BG might go from 4x4 to 5 days. Perhaps it’s a necessity to stay in business.
Well technically you wouldn’t be working for BG but rather XPO who deal with their transport
And apparently xpo will supply you with a Renault truck I kid you not , what self respecting driver drives a Renault , thankfully by the time theyl apparently arrive ( mid 26 ) I’ll be retired
As you can tell I’m not getting that feeling , maybe xpo will suprise me .
