Hi all, I have an assessment in the morning with British bakeries in dagenham, any of you know what there like , and what lorries they have Iam going for class 2, any advice would be welcome.
I worked there about 7 years ago on agency but it was at Wigan. The Class 2’s then were L and M reg Volvo’s and Leyland DAF’s. Even the artics were lousy, sending you on trunk runs in draughty underpowered cack! Dog rough old motors!
I think they’re mostly DAF LF’s now, easy to drive and a good motor for the job. The job is as easy or hard as you make it. Early starts can take a toll but you can get used and be done for midday or early afternoon. You’ll get to know your route and customers and it can be enjoyable.
As for the assessment drive, just drive like it’s your test again and you’ll be fine.
Good luck.
