.Lorry with animal feed tips over on ■■■■■■■■■■ Basin
The animal feed which was being transported on the lorry spilled over into the road A lorry carrying 20 tonnes of animal feed has tipped over on part of a busy commuter route in Bristol.

Emergency services were called to Cabot Way, which links the A4 Portway with the ■■■■■■■■■■ Basin system, on Thursday morning.

A police spokesman said work to recover the lorry could take some time and advised motorists to avoid the area.

Some of the feed has fallen on to Faraday Road below and some diesel also spilled from the lorry.

A Bristol City Council spokesman said workers had cleared up the spillage but when they moved the lorry, more fuel spilled onto the road.

Traffic in the area is reported to be heavy with long queues on the A4 Portway approach to the ■■■■■■■■■■ Basin system.

The accident is in the same place where a lorry carrying flour flipped on to its side in 2006.

that looks scarily like a Baylis wagon, i know 2 of their drivers hoping the driver is ok

It was Bayliss, he was lucky not to go over the side onto the carriageway below. I went past it lunch time . He was Treated for shock afterwards.

As far as I know the driver was OK,it was one of Bayliss Brothers from Kington,Herefordshire.

It’s a very Sharp bend there, I’ve been round it a thousand or more times over the years and it still catches me out.
