Bringing new vehicle back without operator license?

I sent this email to VOSA a couple of days ago but still not had a reply… Does anyone on here know the answer please?

I have recently applied for my National Operators License (around 3-4 weeks ago).
I have just purchased a vehicle and would like to know if I am allowed to drive the vehicle back to my yard before I have my operators license? Also, to drive it to and from the paint sprayers.
This vehicle is to be put straight onto my goods operator license once it is issued so I would like to bring it to my yard and get it prepared ready to start work when my operator license has been issued.

as long as it is insured and taxed and is not used for work then yes you can pick it up take it to the sprayers etc

Don’t know the exact ruling for this but logically it is not ,at the moment, being used for ‘hire or reward’ so I see no prob
