Anyone ever worked for these guys? Advice needed whether to steer clear or embrace…

I pull the occasional load out of the distribution centre in Manchester, they all seem to have a chip on their shoulder in there. I work for DHL and I thought DHL did their transport solely? Could be wrong, but go for it, if it doesn’t work out then it doesn’t work out.

I did some agency work for DHL Brighthouse Manchester (near the Imperial War Museum).

Job was ok, no mega complaints.

I left after a spat with the warehouse staff after they loaded a broken pallet onto the top rollers, this pallet had ‘bathroom cabinets’ on it, so lots of glass.
When it was being lifted off, the broken leg of the pallet caught and tipped it all over, could’ve seriously hurt someone not to mention the fact that it was all just wasted goods, might as well not have bothered loading it as loading it on a knackered pallet.

The top rollers basically run 1 strip down either side of the trailer, and the pallets just sit on them, they are hydraulically operated.

Cheers all  have since found out it’s multi-drop delivery work. I do 30 mile a week on commute and this would mean 60 miles a day, along the M27. Don’t mind driving along there in a wagon, but not in my own car.
