Bridge height Grantham

hi.
anyone know height of arch bridge going into Grantham on A607 from Melton Mowbray. I’ll be 15’

If I cant get through that I can only think i’ll need go Sth to Colsterworth on A! do a u turn back uo drop down to the McDonalds and turn right to get to Ancaster

It’s 15’…

If yer brave give it a shot.

If your a wuss, go north up the A1 to the services at Gonerby Moor, then turn back into Grantham on the B1174 and into Grantham that way. There is another bridge on that road but it’s 16’.

thanks for that. if I recall correctly its arched so at 15 I should be OK as walking floor and i’m 15 at the motor for the easy sheet so at sides only 14’ 6’'. again many thanks

going mountains at Ancaster ( or mid uk as they call themselves now )

Mountains…

Isn’t technically Ancaster. They’re up on High Dyke which is near Ancaster. You can get to it from either the A52 or A153. All good roads and easy to find .

coming into Grantham from A52 isn’t the bridge at bottom of hill 14’ 6’'. I was going come along A52 drop down to A607 and then, thanks to your good advice about the bridge , leave by A52 up hill and bear left by VOSA station. Always willing to listen to advice if there is a better way

That one…

Is 14’ 3" and a total ■■■■ to get out of if your coming in down the hill. If your coming in on the A607 all you got is the 15’ to consider.

The A607 splits into two in Grantham (right turn at traffic lights into Springfield road, KFC on corner, just after the bike shop on the left) Do not take that right turn as the bridge you will encounter is 11’ 6". Instead stay on A607 Harlaxton road. Then the rest of your route is correct
