Bricks and blocks

Biggest problem with this kind of job is that the customer often want the load dropped “just there”. Wether you can get there or not. The good thing ( if you have a hi,ab) is that you can tip yourself, rather than waiting for a forkie.

robroy:
Give it a rest mate ffs,… you’re obsessed. :unamused:

Hey robroy, I appreciate that me and others calling out UKtramp for being a troll is a bit tedious but to ignore his lies and to just humour him by going along with his fantasies basically renders a whole thread worthless.

Another question answered, I was wondering about unloading if you have a hiab, do you jump the que or still have to wait?

It’s also tedious reading posters ‘calling out’ the same posters on every single thread.

Like as in its actually spoiling things now for me because every thread gets tons of replies saying stuff like sock puppet or whatever which keeps it at the top of board which generates more sock puppet comments etc.

If people really think that then just ignore the thread surely? It dies and so does the seeking of attention. That’s IF it’s not genuine. I’m not arsed if it is or isn’t personally.

Your calling me a troll? Are you serious, you set up an account a few weeks ago and your very first posts have been insulting me, then every post thereafter. Who is the troll and liar here? Give it a rest and grow up.

Yeh because pages and pages of the same old tired comments about trolling and the like doesn’t…does it. :unamused:

I just tend to get bored easy with stuff mate after the first few MONTHS of it :unamused: ,… know what I mean.

Btw…I aint ‘‘humouring’’ anybody bud,.whether he is going on blocks himself or not, he asks a relavent question pertaining to trucks and transport, …ie the purpose of the forum. :bulb:

Also I find some of his stuff more entertaining than somebody trying to be funny (that in reality isn’t) who keeps endlessly coming back with childish retorts tbh mate. :bulb:

I am serious, I may well take the offer and just wanted some info from more experienced posters such as yourself rob. I prefer to research into jobs that I consider rather than jump in feet first.

Just an observation but this thread would be good for anyone thinking of going on the same game also nice to here from more brick and block lads.

I’m the last one in the world to object to silliness but this troll stuff is getting boring now.

Take it at face value, if the topic interests you contribute, if it’s just the OP that’s of interest to you then PM him/her for a date.

UKtramp:
Have an offer on the table of tramping on bricks and blocks, never done this work before and wondered if anyone has done it or has any constructive comments on it?

Never done bricks, but done plenty of wood deliveries to building sites. Not tramping though.

As someone else said, early starts and early finish. Can’t remember making a Friday drop after 12 noon! Can be a bit muddy, but I was doing it in the summer so wasn’t too bad. I can see why some people love it, but I reckon it’s a different game on he winter.

Spot on Dave, all this troll, double a/c, accusation crap (whether it’s true or not) is becoming a pain in the ■■■■ on here lately.
I know I’ve had a couple of goes myself in the past, but ffs enough is enough, let’s all just move on …Jeez H. :unamused:

Along with all your qualifications, do you have a Hi-ab licence/certificate? Or even Moffat?
Serious question because a lot of these companies that do this sort of work have one on the truck for you to self unload.

He doesn’t need any because any decent firm will give him training for his licences,it’s the sort of job that you either love or loathe,I’ve seen many drivers come and go, I would say go for it.

A mate of mine has just started on a local brick outfit and he is getting full training on these, and every other aspect of the block job, so I reckon it will depend who the co is, and how good it is.

Edit; Bobbya beat me to it.

Last time I did bricks it was 8,000 hand balled on and off. What’s all this about pallets and hiabs? Take your own cup with you. When it’s smoko time and you walk in to the little wooden hut that’s full of friendly paddy’s with a big bucket of tea in the middle of the floor, you’ll see why. On the other hand, I could be living in the past.

It wasn’t a dig >Bobbya, just a comment. He, as in UKT, was asking for info and that was my piece.
