Brick through window

One of our drivers had a brick thrown through his window earlier tonight.
It happened on the A249 just before the M2 Junction, coming from Sittingbourne.
Take care everyone there are some sick puppies out there.

Used to get egged on a regular basis working for Littlewoods at Shaw, dunno why, trucks thru the village thing? but bricks is a different ball game, sick sods.

Least we forget about the poor ford artic driver who had a brick thrown at him on the M3 near fleet hit him in the chest causing a heart attack luckily he managed to get truck on to hard shoulder before he died

I remember that, if I remember right, his widow went to the US to receive an award for him getting the truck to safety from the head of Ford. The brick thrower was eventually traced through a new DNA technique, just very unfortunate that he was only convicted of the manslaughter charge and not murder.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: ffs

Happens to bus drivers on a daily basis. At Larkfield depot there was never a day went by without at least one broken window.
I let a young woman with a pram off at a stop once (baby was about 3-4 months old) and I pulled away. about 200 yards later a brick came through the side window right were the pram had been seconds earlier and would have landed in the pram or at least covered the baby in shattered glass.
Chucking objects at moving vehicles hould be classed as a serious offence

Is this a horizontal throw from the roadside, or a brick dropped off the 100ft M2 bridge just as one approaches the stockbury roundabout?

Be careful of the Whitfield industrial estate where kids are throwing stones out of the alleyway sideways into passing cabs… Got hit myself coming out of Langdons - and all the police wanted to know was “You are not going out on the road in THAT state are you?”…

Well, only a couple hundred of yards out of the depot gate - no I wasn’t. NO action taken against the scumbags on the housing estate though, that still don’t have anything better to do between signing on days… :imp:

The A12 used to be notorious on the M25-Hatfield Peverall stretch for kids dropping stones down from overbridges too…

“Endangering an Aircraft” is a jailable offence. I agree we should have “endangering a professional driver” as well, bearing in mind that a double decker buss or truck is dozens of tons of killing machine, should a clocked-in-the-head driver veer off and plough into pedestrians, or another vehicle… Maybe it should even be considered a “Terrorist Act” - seeing as anyone doing this is surely a public enemy?

Well aircraft are regularly atacked by high powered laser beams as they come in to land.
Blinding the piolts.

Once again though very little if anything get done about it…

I got my facts a bit wrong, I spoke to the driver this morning, it was a rock about the size of a coke can and it was on the stretch between the paper mills and Morrisons depot.
Probably thrown from the roadside.

The Birch is very well understood.

some years ago whilst delivering to a shop in Glasgow there were kids up on the roof and one of them hit me square in the face with a tomato and broke my nose…hardly surprising as it was still in the tin…
