Brick & block edge protectors

Any ideas where I can find somewhere to buy some of the yellow edge protectors for packs of bricks / blocks.

I’ve got some old wooden things that a previous driver made years ago but they are bulky by comparison so I don’t carry them unless I know I will be moving materials which is occasional. A stack of the plastic ones would be easier to keep on the vehicle for as and when jobs.

Cheers

I’ve 50 rachet straps & rachets in my garage & im 90 % sure there’s a load of those black edge protectors , not sure why as I’ll never use them

not yellow but… ukratchetstraps.com/collect … protectors

Also gtf.co.uk/product/cp800/

Reading again you want the long protectors , no mine are short ones m

That’s the sort of thing, I guess I’ve just noticed the yellow ones more (especially laying in the road!)

Surprising how much they cost

forterra park their wagons in our yard, all they do is blocks. They use angle ally strips rather than plastic for the edges. probably aint gonna be any cheaper than plastic though.

I’ll point my boss in the right direction. Something light and takes up little space is what is needed, I only move them occasionally but would be handy to have them stowed away for the times that I do

Some places like plastic ones to be used they don’t like metal ones in case they fall on you :unamused:

and you need the silly little pole to put them on, cant be hoping up onto the trailer ya know

I can balance one on a long stick that works too

These are the ones we use - scroll down. If you want small ones for occasional use, they have some close to the bottom. Ours aren’t for brocks but they work the same.

When I did work on Marshalls, we also had 2 poles on the chassis (Not the European type. That would be silly and illegal. ) so you could place them on when you didn’t use them.

Ken.

Get a cheap dutch hoe,£5 or so. Works just as well as the proper tool and a lot cheaper. Used one for years.
