Brewery Lorries

Foden - H868MRF - Whitbread:

Unusual AEC 6 wheeler of Threlfalls Brewery in Liverpool. The Reg No. MLV 87
suggests that it is from 1951/1952. The Perkins Diesel badge on the front has
me wondering…did AEC occasionally fit Perkins engines, or has the driver found
the badge and attached it to the radiator grille ? Click on picture for full image. Ray Smyth.

A fine looking Leyland 6 wheeler of Marstons Brewery, Burton On Trent.
Despite hundreds, perhaps thousands of pubs closing over the last twenty
years, not far from me, Marstons have built several large pubs and dining
facilities, The Copper Kettle on the A580 at Kirkby, another near Kew
Traffic island at Southport, and the Primrose Farm which opened about
10 days ago at Smithy Brook Way, just off the A49, Goose Green,Wigan.
Cheers. Ray Smyth.
