breaks

hi
i work over 9 hours but don’t drive over 4.5 hours.

what breaks am i required to take?

thanks

kevin

Hi i think you need to satisfy the working time directive - TBH i would be taking a 45 minute break anyway just for my own piece of mind
although you may not be driving you must be doing something - other work of some kind
cheers
Steve

To comply with the WTD for mobile workers you are supposed to have a break/breaks totalling at least 45 minutes, the 45 minute break can be split into separate parts of no less than 15 minutes.

If your working time is more than 6 hours but less than 9 you should have a break/breaks totalling 30 minutes, if your working time is over 9 hours you should have 45 minutes.
