You don’t have to wait for the legal time to take-a-break (sounds like a magazine ) - you can have a break whenever you feel you need one.
hell, you can even take a break after 1 minute of driving
best think to do if you want a break is to take one when you feel the need to stop and have one your the boss of your truck when you drive
i have to stop after 2 hrs driving whatever, i get that bad cramp in my legs [ it seems like cramp to me anyway] , only in our new scanias funnily enough.

The RTD(WTD) is - 6 hours max work (driving and other work) before a break of 15 mins must be taken.
What is the max duty time you would like to see before a break must be taken and how long a minimum break would you like that to be

I thought that 30 mins rest was required after 6hrs duty.
exactly 30mins rest after 6hrs work or 45 after 4.5hrs drive. that is minimum , however u got right to decide when u get your rest.
Can employer adjust your rest time and not to pay for it? some employers are doing it on a daily basis.

Exactly right - Norberts have told us that we get an hour on the breaks, but we can stop whenever and how often we want to if we feel the need to…
about 1hr rest i would add something - every rest over one hour can be compensed to your weekly rest.

Many get confused with that but it is only 15 mins for the RTD (WTD)
You need a TOTAL of 30 mins for work (driving and other work) between 6 and 9 hours (45 mins if over 9 hours)
No-one must work more than 6 hours without a break
Each break must be at least 15 mins

You are correct about the daily rest not needing to be compensated for but incorrect about the weekly rest compensation.
Compensation for weekly rest must be done en-bloc (in one go) - it cannot be compensated for in bits.

Incorrect, it’s 15 minutes after 6 hours work (driving and other work) not 6 hours duty time. You could clock on, do 5 minutes work, spend the next six hours on POA, do 5 minutes work and clock off and you would have been on duty for more than 6 hours but not require a break.

Incorrect. You need a total of 30 minutes break for work totalling between 6 and 9 hours not a shift of between 6 and 9 hours. You could do an 8 hour shift for example which contains 4 hours driving and 1.5 hours other work and not require a break.
