Breaks

Today I had a break of 45 minutes after 3 hours of my work. I thought I’m all right now with wtd regulations. But I just realised that I worked after said break for 6hrs and 23 minutes. Did I break the law? I had 45 minutes so wtd rules are covered. But there is also a rule which says that I can’t work more than 6 hours in a row. Does is still apply if I had 45min break already?

If you worked for 6 hours and 23 minutes after the end of the break you can expect an infringement off your company, regardless of how much break you’ve had you’re not supposed to work for more than 6 hours without a break of at-least 15 minutes.

I wouldn’t worry about it though, a WTD infringement for the 6 hour rule isn’t serious by any-means, just put it down to experience and move on

Ignore!

As tach said , you should have interrupted the 6 .23 by a 15min break.

Dont mix up WTD hours with EU driver regulations - VOSA care about the latter whereas only a very few office bods with nothing useful to do even notice WTD.

WTD is useful if you do lots of work without driving and gives you a proper break, but use it for your own purposes, not something to worry about.
