it only for council to remove .The road was on an industrail estate i parked on it was in the london borough of bexley so the questions
1 Should i have moved it.
2 Will i here anything
3 Have any of you heard of this lorry park
4 If it dose exsits why would the council remove his signs
Whilst I can’t comment on that particular area, I have had problems myself trying to find somewhere legal to take a break.
So many of these industrial estates are privately owned and have clampers at the ready before you have change the mode switch on the tacho. In addion to this there is virtually no legal on-street parking suitable for artics. On a couple of the drops I do in East London the yards are large and I am able to park there after tipping however this is not always the case.
If he put the signs up it sounds like he owns the lorry park and was trying to drum up business by scaring you into moving. He may have only looked like he was calling the police and was actually talking to himself, hence why they never turned up although they rarely turn up for anything. If he was a parking official with any kins of authority then he surely would have issued you with a ticket. I doubt you will hear anything as it sounds, from what you have written, that it was someone connected with the lorry park trying to get you to park there.
if your that way again crabtree manor way via anderson way belverdere there plenty of parking round that way on the estate theres a cafe as well on the riverside est not sure about opening times thow
Don’t worry, sounds to me it’s some busy body who is moaning about LGV’s parking on a road. You can prove that you were going to run out of hours hence why you stopped in a safe place.
Have any of you heard of this lorry park
NO lol
If it dose exists why would the council remove his signs
you put signs up and the local council remove them because they need permission etc. In one of my villages that i patrol they have problems with LGV’s going over a 3t bridge. They only going over it because theres not many signs on the A1 to inform people about it etc. Locals have put signs up but the HA have removed them for unknown reasons. Now every time the A1 is closed people divert early through this village and take there 44t lgv over a 3t bridge.
