Breaking news

Rog…surely a man of your(supposed)credentials could envisage a number of scenarios, whereby ollerhead would be unable to avoid a collision.

ROG:

There is an offence of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

I haven’t seem much reported about this case, does anyone know what his explanation was for running into the minibus ?

I wonder how come that is not in the GOV link I posted …

Perhaps they should have charged the lorry driver with that instead - but the result would have been different

Perhaps you should have read the article linked to in the OPs post :stuck_out_tongue:

Mr Ollerhead, of Lincoln Crescent, St Helens, was also cleared of an alternative charge of causing death by careless driving.

Yeah i for 1 have had enough of the TN CSI brigade on here :unamused: :unamused:.The whiter than white that never has looked down whilst driving then look back and bam!! can happen to anyone!! Was the right desision to clear the truck driver,The nutter driving the minibus was all at fault.

+1
it always seems to be on here that im the only one without a limiter,on the wire, and running with no dcpc card etc…funny how everyone else I know doing this job is just as big a cowboy as myself…the Herbert doing 5mph on a m/way was to blame, sitting bored to tears at 52 has to be a major factor in a lot of shunts.

WTF :open_mouth: he has been found not guilty - end of! Some posters on here just HAVE to say something :unamused:

I always think it’s a great injustice as in this case where the trucker is immediately arrested yet the car/van driver is not
As this case in point the initial outcome was the complete opposite to the eventual outcome

Well done him, still wont bring a young girl back. Where did the actual impact happen?

R.I.P Bethany

Just before the junction for Pontefract and Castleford going Westbound so the minibus driver had the choice of either ruining on the hard shoulder or pulling off on the slip road but chose neither and decided to carry on at 5.5mph in a live lane.
It says something when one of the girls on board the bus said in court that the their lives completely changed that day for the worse due to the idiots actions who was driving the bus. I knew as soon as I saw the first posts on here when it happens by looking at the pics that the bus wouldn’t have been travelling fast when the truck hit it, you could tell by the damage to the back end of the bus.
I thought at first he may have realised at the last minuite he was in the wrong lane and pulled across back onto the motorway into the path of traffic. The girls said they could smell burning when he picked them up but he said the bus was fine.

Well all I can say is they will both have to live with what happened and have the death of young ■■■■■■■ their hands.

I am surprised at that !

The guys been proven innocent and watching our local news last night he looks a broken man and he has said if he could swap places with the young lass that got killed he would.
Also the other girls came out in the truck drivers defence.

We all have moments when concentration lapses and anyone who says they don’t is lying.
