Lymm? About 2009 they offered breakfast for £5.99 if you filled up with 200 litres of diesel and the guy in the shop said that you get a free stomach pump too! He wasn’t wrong. Absolutely dire.
The wooden hut/green cabin is now called Sizzle Sister’s, run by two sisters, Lynn and Sue.
Come of the M56 at A49 (J10) junction, head south and the Let’s Eat Cafe is just before the lights where the A533 crosses.

I’m not surprised it was dire , the original breakfast was cooked in 2008
junction 12 M56 mate follows the signs for fordsham/ashville industrial estate, onto the estate first left and a butty van is there.
£3.20 for a scud which is a bagutte with 2 suasage, 2 egg, 2 bacon, blackpudding and mushrooms. fit girls working there too!..lol
toowise:
Heading south come off M6 just before Thelwall Viaduct (Nortbound its just after obviously)
Cant remember junction number (21 ■■?) but its the A57
Head towards Irlam and Manchester
After about 2 miles there is a small portacabin type cafe on left just after a garden centre.
Enough parking (if you’re sensible) for about a dozen trucks
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR A NIGHT OUT THOUGH!!
Parked these last Tuesday night (right opposite the Police Helicopter base!) and got me curtains slashed.
Your way past where he means there, the Helicopter place is the other side of Irlam from where he means,
Hollins Green near Manchester Koi and Aquatics is the Butty wagon.

Good Food , Good Craic, Cheap prices, but no overnight parking
Miles better than Moto owned, rip-off, not as good as the old wooden hut, Lymm MSA

Also CREWE truckstop is about 3 miles from j.16 M6
I live in Crewe so have never been but i’ve heard reports that food is ok. plenty of pubs and chippys / chinese / indian / kebabs within walking distance anyway, also next to big industrial estate so you can park in there for free.
from M6 head for Crewe
right at 1st roundabout
Left at 2nd roundabout
Straight on at next
Truckstop is about 200 yds past traffic lights on left just after tesco direct RDC(industrial estate is on right)
If you live in Crewe TW, I guess you never clocked it? Its nearer to 6 miles than 3.
So its a bit far off just for breakfast really. I often parked in there soon after it first opened about 2008 at w/end nights. From the M6 into the park its about 10 minutes keeping her lit when roads are quiet late evening/early morning at weekends, so probably more like 15 in day time traffic.
after 2 weeks of rabbit food and cereal i was hungry, well u would be, so loaded at eastham oil terminal for redditch and of we go, by the time i got to lymm im really up for a fry up, it musy be the worst food ive never eaten, i wont go into detail but everything was cold and hard , in fact just like my first wife, got my money back went to shop , pint of milk and back to the corn flakes , and they wanted 6 quid for that rubbish , so can anyone point me in the right direction on m6 south of lymm ■■?
Off at J12, turn east on the A5 towards Cannock, after about 500m you have Greasy Lils on the left and after another 350m Truckers Rest on the right this one is a much better option…

you are right gb
the food in lymn is digusting, cooked early morning and served till whenever it goes.i have walked away from the counter when they put it on the plateand left the tray there.
its overpriced by a long shot as well.
i know that fast food is not the most healthy for any of us,but,
most services have burger king and kentucky fried chicken now[kf at high street prices and bk slightly more expensive]
its normally a bit better than what these greasy spoons offer and i would classify lymn as a greasy spoon as well, except the waiteresses dont have butts in thier mouths.
a lot of the sevices now have marks and spencers, this does give a lot more of a healthy choice.
they are more expensive then their high street shops, but
the food is good quality and worth the extra money.
so can anyone point me in the right direction on m6 south of lymm ■■?
A new truckstop opened last year near Crewe junc 16 ,A500 i think .I ve not been in it myself but i’ve heard its ok .
Somebody on here is bound to know exactly where it is ,but i dont think it’s that far from the motorway.
Wheel Nut:
A460 between J11 M6 and J1 M54 near the keyfuels place
Unless it’s changed recently, that isn’t a caf, it’s just a fuel bunker site with a shop, although when I was last there they did decent sarnies (non-Ginsters) at reasonable prices.

I will second the Truckers Rest. The Big Breakfast there comes on a plate that’s nearly as big as the table!
Just make sure you get the right place - it’s the one on the right hand side coming from the M6, about 0.75 of a mile from the motorway and a few hundred yards after the Hollies (which is on the left, serves disgusting food and is to be avoided ).
