The council and the lorry spotter spotters group held meetings to discuss in their own words not mine the problem of “nuisance trucks” in their town, apparently we are dangerous to vulnerable users in the town, and refer to children.
So kids are running under 44 tonner wheels, playing chicken with the nasty smelly killer juggernaut, or do they mean invalid scooters and prams and baby buggies going under the wheels.
Vulnerbale road users, please add to the list what you think is a “vulnerable road user”, maybe the best policy is to stay indoors and watch repeats of Jeremy Kyle, that way you will not be mown down by that kiiler juggernaut on the rampage over the 18 ton bridge that has survived for 400 years, if it was that bad, where is the engineers report from the council to say it can not take a 44 ton artic.
I class me a HGV 1 driver as a vulnerable road user with a lot of cars trying to kill me every day but Bradford on Avon just has a lot of nimbys that’s why this country is ■■■■■■
I’m a vulnerable road user.
I wonder if they will feel better knowing that any fatalities are now caused by cars, vans and buses?
Obviously they think the local shops and businesses don’t need any supplies, they will soon be moaning when there is no shops as they can’t trade because they have no stock.
Morons
Only once have I drove through Bradford on Avon and over that bridge but people living there hate trucks, one man on a bike tried stopping me going over the bridge because he reckoned I was overweight when I was actually empty, and the rest of the village stood shaking there heads at me
If the bridge couldn’t take more than 18tons, then why allow permit holders?
The two Stobart truck fines made in the Commercial Motor, the council say the foreigner`s do not get away with a fine, but they can not trace a foreign plate on the DVLA computer, so they will get away with it.
Even if a foreign firm got a bill to pay, they would ignore it, as there are no powers to get the fine money in Europe.
