Ramone, I am researching Jack Bell/Bells Transport Services and have placed posts on various drivers / A-One etc Facebook pages, so if you have the photo of Jack Bell’s first vehicle you can post it on one of those pages.
I dont think i have i’m not sure who posted it .Maybe Les Pullan
Les, I am researching and writing the history of Jack Bell, but there is no photo of his alleged first wagon visible on this page. Could you publish it in the A-One facebook page as I believe that you are a member also. Regards, John Daykin
I stopped being a member of Trucknet a few years ago, I have some photos of Bells lorries, do you want me to send you them by email, Les
Yes Les, I would appreciate that very much. I was just trawling through Trucknet looking for comments and photos for inclusion in the history of Jack Bell that I have just started to research, as a follow-up to the Henry Longs and A-One histories that I have been doing for a couple of years. I am placing posts on all the drivers/hauliers and Bradford Facebook sites that I am a member of.
Regards,
John
That’s a very early F88! Looks as if that trailer was purpose-build for the job.
Jack Ashworth at Bradford built his own trailers and bodies for the Internation Harvesters contract he had.A proper old school character
dads old seddon went all over with him in that
Also went to Italy int Volvo with Denise Robson aka (cowboy) he got the Volvo after Derek Foster in the pic above
Who are the two in front of the F88 Steve , the one on the right looks like a young Mick Lee but i dont think he ever worked there .I’ve only known him bald and i’ve known him nearly 40 years
Derek Foster is th one on left hand side bud
