Although it’s the nearest HGV site to my yard I tend to avoid the place at all costs but sometimes I have to admit defeat and patronise it. Of late the pumps have been getting very slow, this week I went in as I wasn’t in a huge hurry (good job) and was getting low. I dribbled 195 litres in and the guy on the next pump took a similar time for about 135l, when I got back in the cab I’d been on the pump for 15 minutes. I’ve complained in the shop but according to the engineers “they are fine”
A lot of other local drivers are avoiding the place or only using it to get a short fill up so they can refuel elsewhere.
Today I called at the BP at Rivenhall on the A12, 205 litres = 6 minutes. The only downside with Rivenhall is the short exit slip which can be a bit tricky when heavy.
Thought I’d post this as the situation isn’t a one off and not getting any better.
