Every truck in their fleet was bent as a 2 bob bit  deserve to go to the wall. Maybe get away with a hand full of trucks running naughty but your whole fleet come on!

People need to wake up this sort of stuff is almost impossible to cover up nowadays ,technology is your enemy now.

I really thought that quite the opposite would be true and that the newer tech would be easier to cover up to the enterprising entrepreneur that was handy with a laptop in his cab at night. But no laptop, no usb port hidden under the dash, forget modern tech a big lump of magnets all you need. Its like stone age man whooping the terminators ■■■ with his wheel.

Transport boss jailed 2yrs…. Son Jailed 18 months…. 11 Drivers receive suspended sentences
5th May 2011

The boss of Boyle Transport a Northern Ireland haulage firm has been jailed after an investigation by VOSA found that some of his drivers had been working up to 22 hours a day.

Managing Director Patrick Boyle, 65, from Newry, was given a two-year prison sentence at Carlisle Crown Court last week after he admitted allowing his drivers to make false tachograph readings

His son and fellow director Mark Boyle, 36, was given an 18-month prison sentence after he also pleaded guilty to the conspiracy and 11 Boyle Transport drivers received suspended sentences and orders to carry out unpaid work after they pleaded guilty to making false tachograph recordings.

The court case followed an extensive joint investigation between VOSA and the ■■■■■■■ police force. In October 2008, officers from ■■■■■■■ Police stopped eight Boyle Transport trucks in Penrith, travelling from Glasgow. Of the five vehicles seized and examined, all were found to have modified wiring systems and each had had their tachograph equipment tampered with. The results of the seizure led to a search warrant being executed on the Boyle Transport in Camlough, Newry, in December 2008. It was found that digital tachograph of more than 20 tractor units owned by the firm had been tampered with.

Officers discovered that some drivers had been driving up to 22 hours a day and failing to take their lawful breaks. Employees had resigned from the company after being asked to work long hours, police enquiries found. DNA samples taken during interviews led to the arrest and conviction of one driver, for a previous offence of ■■■■ and kidnap that had occurred in 1989.

THIS WAS TAKEN FROM THE FIRST COURT CASE …

They run Red Scania’s with BOYLES name on them in yellow, I think they run computer bits from Renfrew to Holland, or did do anyway … Although they are still trading.

The firms still doing well, with plenty contracts and euro work doing italy. A big up yours to vosa with an irish operators licence. There only crime was to get caught. Goodluck to them for the future.

That news is 10 ■■■■■■■ years ago now!!!
As far as I know neil is running the job now

Anyone any news on when the big man will be out of prison for good behavior?

The firm might well be doing well but look how many drivers have just lost their licence now that the dust has settled. Most for over two years. I could name over a dozen hauliers who never lost any business in the last few years while supposedly serving a vosa ban. Its a brave driver that runs hooky these days

A mate of mine now works for them, 100% legal, still doing regular trips to Italy.
He was in Venice last week, and is on his way to Montebello this week. He was on the boat Wednesday night with 4 other drivers so they can’t be doing that bad

I am here: tapatalk.com/map.php?nsmb3r
